Wardrobe cues from one of television's finest villans.
Arguably one of the best and most underrated shows on television, FX's Justified wrapped up its final season earlier this year. The show stems from Elmore Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole" and grows into a modern take on the classic western.
Havn't seen the show? Go ahead and watch it - you'll be glad you did and we'll be here when you get back.
Although the show is headlined by Timothy Olyphant as Kentucky US Marshal Raylan Givens - the true star is local bad boy, Boyd Crowder. He's a coal miner turned career criminal with a moral code and ambitions you can get behind (opening a Dairy Queen is among my favorites) .
His charm, wide, toothy grin and eloquent manner of speaking are only part of what make Walton Goggin's Boyd Crowder such and outstanding character. When he's not rocking some stellar outerwear (like the classic navy chore coat below), he's pulling off a three-piece suit with an "air tie", old-school pocket watch and a well-weathered pair of boots. From shawl collars to clean lines and a lean silhouette Boyd's style is a great taken on well-dressed-workwear.
My fellow gentlemen, I recommend stealing a few of these style moves, but leave the bank robbing to fictional characters.
...On a final note, if anyone can tell me where I can find a jacket like the plaid number on the far right ? I would be so grateful!
